Hello
Sorry I have got another one question
It is possible connect together Passive MEC Dynamic correction pickups whit Seymour Duncan STC-2A for active pick ups not STC-P for passiv pickups
Because if I take a active MEC pickups one day , it will be fine I should not change a Seymor Duncan STC--2P to STC-2A
Thank you

Best regards!

No...you can try though.

The Seymour Duncan pre amp's are specfic....."P" for passive pups and "A" for active pups

SoWhich preamp is fine for both passive and active Mec pickups?

Your preamp input is the signal that comes out of your blend pot. The actual preamp is not a problem since it can handle both passive and active pickup output. The problem lies with the blend pot. If your blend pot is for passive pickups, it will not work well with active pickups and vice versa. I am assuming that the A and P designations on the SD sets shows what kind of blend pot the set has, so you can use it only for the corresponding kind of pickup. You should be able to replace the blend pot only and use the same preamp with the other kind of pickups. Hope this helps.

Look at the bass knob circuit. Where it says +9 volt you will connect the red wire of the battery cable. In the same position you can connect the pickups so that they are powered. What I would do is solder a red wire on this connector, and make all my connections on that cable (battery red cable, the two pickups) so that you don't damage the circuit. The black battery cable goes to the jack (- Battery). Hope this helps!

Yes, so you just connect battery red on the bass knob circuit for powering the preamp.

This wire is connected to the bridge. Normally you solder it on a pot casing, so that it is connected to ground. You can connect it on the "Ground" connector on the bass pot circuit. I would do the same trick, one black cable coming out of the "Ground" connector, and connect anything you want grounded to that black cable. Otherwise you can connect the bridge ground to a pot casing like what is shown in your picture, taking care to not damage the pot.
