Great, if they would start building all of them without volute, I could consider buying a factory new Wick (which would be a Streamer Stage I)

Hmm, why do you guys care about this volute thing one way or the other? Are there any practical implications of (not) having it?

It is supossed to make the neck stronger and prevent the head from breaking like on many old Streamers.

I personally don't like it visually and hapticly.

I don't know of any practical reasons, other than nostalgia for the past, as the volute is critical to strength. It is kind of a weird thing to bring back. If they are purely going for a fondness of yesteryear...then things like the scalloped headstock of the first Thumbs would be my preference. Which of course would look better with no volute...and why it's a shame they didn't think about that here.

The grain...is insane! Especially on the fingerboard. I like mahogany basses, one of my main basses for 12 years was mahogany

I like to teambuilt one too! Would look sweet with all black hardware, me thinks. Anyone seen any prices?

€5167 for the NT4
€5499 for the NT5
€2523 for the BO4

I don't know if this is different than in years past, but it states these will be made to order, and the build time is 4-6 months. Interesting. I thought in years past they made the full amount of whatever number LTD's they do in the run. Maybe it's different this year.

Am I wrong or are this just the „normal“ prices for any Thumb? That would be indeed a change.
