But I'm curious as to what kind of wood "coromandel" is, because my '06 Corvette Std. fretless has a nicely figured Tigerstripe fingerboard that looks quite similar (though lighter in shade) to yours.

I thought it was related to Macassar Ebony................ 8)

I was wondering, those "exotic" fingerboards, like the coromandel and the second one which I forgot its name right now...were they implemented through the years by the last owners or by yourself? or they were originally implemented by warwick.

Btw I'm a big fan of your work and your new band...a perfect example for how a fretless in metal should work, I'm a fretless player myself and I play metal as well, I was very inspired by that work. also your intrest in microtonal oriented music, and learning it via the fretless bass, Interests me as much as well, we have very similar tastes it seems. =)

Ellio Martina did a great job! It's nice to hear that more people like this guy. I would trust him.
Nice basses and sounds Jeroen! What kind of strings do you use on your fretted basses?

The rumour here in the US is that you'll appear in a Dutch bass mag soon with an interview?

If you're ever intrested in a thumb NT5 from 1992...I would consider trading it for a 6er....

Jeroen you are freakin' amazing!
I was wondering, what tuning did you use for the Obscura album?

Beautiful family
I was wondering who gave you the idea to use coromandel fingerboard instead of classic ebony fingerboard ?
I am looking for a Thumb 6 fretless so i am interested in collecting infos.
Thanks

Coromandel is an ebony. East Indian Ebony to be more precise.
Palisander is aslo known as Cocobolo or Nicaraguan Rosewood.

JPT, I appreciate your collection and your singular devotion to 6 string Thumbs. I like the '89, just because it has dots and they stand out.
