wow, colours - great idea. So you always have a reason to get another LX 5 :)

Ha ha, YES! Also, the Bleached Rose one has a high polish finish with Wenge neck and Wenge fretboard, whereas the Bleached Ocean Blue one has a satin finish with Maple neck and Ziricote fretboard. Also, the body of the 2014 is solid maple and the LTD 2015 has a Maple top and Ash back > so they sound a bit different. :)

What is up with that fingerboard on the blue one.
They could've atleast cut the wood so the stripe was in the middle :p

Stunning trio, very jelly.

Hi,
I am currently looking at a seemingly good deal for a 1986 Streamer Stage II. The bass has Alembic branded P/J pickups and only 3 pots. I can't seem to find any information on this configuration. Could anyone provide some insight if these are aftermarket modifications? Also the bass has a battery compartment on the back, so it probably is active. It also still has the horizontal tuners and the one piece bridge.
I guess I should check out the trussrod (and of course play it) before making the deal.
Do you have any other comments or advice?
Thanks!
W

Streamer Stage II came in 1988 afaik.
Back in 1986 there was Streamer only.
All Streamers were „custom made/Masterbuilt“ back then.
Alembic PUs was one of the PU options back then. I ve owned a Thumb 4 from late 80ies with Alembic Js...
The seller seems to be „special“...does not answer at all...does not show fotos of electronics and back of headstock.
So maybe a „fake ad“?

In the end the bass seems to have been sold to someone else... :-(
