Honey violin is much lighter, almost natural in color. :)
You sure? This is honey violin satin on my LX (albeit on flamed maple) and it's very different to a natural LX I have (HV much richer and darker).

Whereas, this is natural beeswax finish:

@Gnermo i think this might be the answer. I recall the specs said something like "honey violin OFC (over French cherry??? ) satin surface.

Pretty sure OFC means Oil Finish Colour/ed. They used to refer to it often as 'Coloured Oil', whereas I think in more recent years 'Coloured Satin' is the term, which I think is a better description. I think it's generally US Cherry that is used for the bodies on Streamer BO, but I could be wrong. It's certainly US Cherry that's used today on some of the German Teambuilt models.

Not Schaller but Jim Dunlop recessed straplocks. At least I've been using them with Dunlop successfully for may years 😅 It looks great but haves some cons. If your strap is missing for some reason you can't use a standard solution without the othe part os the sistem.

Wow, those are some mighty fine looking basses. How do the Seymour Duncan pickups compare to MEC's?

Thank you! They've all got a little something that sets them apart from the others -

The Black on has an all wenge neck and fretboard (and was built for and owned by Evan Brewer during his time in The Faceless)

Green has an ovangkal neck with an ebony board

Blue has an ovangkal neck with a wenge board

Red has ovangkal with wenge but the modern thinner C shape profile (I had asked for the original fat neck from the 2000's but the rep I placed the order with didn't know what I was talking about)

I find that the Duncans sound a bit bitier and more aggressive than the MECs, not to say that the MECs sound bad at all!

They are magnificent, there is no doubt about it.
Do they really sound different?
Because, apart from the color, what differentiates them is just the wood species used.
Do we really feel the sound of wood?

I find that the Green and Blue basses feel very similar since the necks are the same shape and wood (except for the fretboards)

The Black bass definitely feels a bit different than the others, the Wenge Neck with the thin C shape neck give it its own character while the red bass feels somewhere in between The Green/Blue and Black basses due to the ovangkal neck with the thin C.

As far as sound goes, the Black Bass has a bit of a smoother character due to the MECs and solid brass bridge, while the other 3 has a bitier sound from the Duncans

I had a 5 and 4 string Corvettes in Burgundy (used) and the 4 string in Nirvana black. I was overwhelmed in respect of sound (active/ passive) and innovative "just a nut" which I fitted the brass option to both and the 3D bridge. However I poured over bass guitar magazine lusting after the Streamer and more of a natural wood finish. I managed to get the honey violin colour and replace the chrome for gold hardware to finish the look. I love the p/up mix of P& J style and the unlimited variations, but the same is true of the Corvette $$. My infatuation began after seeing a Wwick in person while buying a new amp and speaker set up and was smitten from then onwards.

Below are 3 of my current Streamer Stage I basses. I’m up to 18 Streamers total now, but 2 of those 18 are currently for sale.

These 3 are definitely keepers though. All 3 of these also have LEDs on the front and side, as well as in the “W” logo on the headstock :)
