Nice. Is that the one from Low End?
Does it sound different to a standard dolphin?
The 3 band must really help.

Wow. Quite the rarity. Did it come with the three pots already, or did you drill a new hole for the 3-band EQ ? (a bit of an heretic move for the OEM fans :) )

Also the knobs have a Dolphin inlay , and the pickups came with the bass ; they are my favorite active pickups. Warwick used them in the 80’s and early 90’s. Everything is Warwick approved !

Bass is here ! It’s amaxing ! It looks original; made in February of 1989. Amazing deal !!
Question: the bridge pickup can’t be split like other Dolphins with Bartolinis; May be it’s one of the first ones and back then the controls of the preamp did not split the coils . Anybody know ?
I can pull up the master volume knob but not the other two knobs .

Yes. The Push Pull on the Volume is the Preamp ByPass. Which is, if you listen closely, different from Preamp at 12 o clock.
I don't think the BArts Dolphins have a Split Coil, it was later on with the MEC.
Congrats, it's a real rare fish you got there.

Thanks! Yes I’m super happy with it !!!
I have another Dolphin from 1990 and in that one the Bartolini In the bridge can be split . So both upper knobs are pull up option ; one bypasses the preamp (just like this one; and that other splits the Bartolini in the bridge ); here’s a picture.

    Lol

    I have 5 in total
I also have a Set Neck model (quite a good bass also!) and a 1995!5 string (killer neckthrough!!!).
They are all amazing with their own personality
