Yeah man, I've got them on everything. Really love the hybrid space between fretted/fretless that they help achieve.

I stumbled into them accidentally, years ago, when a local music shop was going out-of-business and had some on clearance. I didn't really read the packaging and picked them up, thinking that they were just black round wounds. I was shocked, but I've used them on all my basses ever since! :)

In November 2014 I bought my '99 Dolphin IV String Wenge Ovangkol Natural .... I lent it in March/April 2015 for 4 days ... I was mislead .... person did not want to return Instrument after 2 Months it had become clear I was being victimised by a someone (original comment removed. Do not post it again. -signed, BA2, moderator)who asked me to borrow the Dolphin for the supposed 4 day "recording session" to his sister's boyfriend.... I told them I wanted the Instrument back and they started making up excuses including their mother about me owing them money for my own Instrument... so they threatened both me and my Instrument with physical violence and they told me to call the police; So I did and got a Lawyer and as of January 2017 the Instrument is back Home with me....

what I didn't get back was Time, Energy, a Wah Pedal Boss V-Wah, Instrument Cables Klotz-Neutrik & Fender Tweed, Bridge Protective Foam (grey) (found that one outside their apartment on the street - one day I was walking home from Swimming/Jacuzzi - some sort of primitive message: they are watching stalkers) Akai MPD32 Drumpad, Klotz MIDI Cable and Practice Amp (Harley Benton 20W)
...Hendrix;Band of Gypsys, Valleys of Neptune, Ellectric Ladyland, Axis Bold as Love ... Pink Floyd; The Wall AC/DC; IRON MAN2 CDs & DVD... a book Prus; Pharaoh and an externall Hard Drive 2TB ChiliGreen /Samsung ... a 4 GB Philips mp3 player.... plus 600 € of extra cash

Soon I am about to file a private Lawsuit; Purpotraitors Polished Guitar with Linnen Oil (totally unappropriate) ...Case, Belt and Instrument wreak of tobacco

It was my only propper Instrument at Time Being - I had to play Rockbass and Stagg (Jazz replica)

Uros, when a moderator sends you a message via PM, it is because we don't wish it to detract from the public discussion. Obviously, you can do what you want with your PMs, but I would advise you to think very hard before you do something like that. My finger is already sitting over the hammer, do not do anything to make me press it.

Doman: it was the way in which he referenced muslims that was the issue. If you have an issue, please Pm a moderator.

Public discussion of this topic is over. The next person who mentions it publicly gets a vacation. Are we clear?

Glad I missed the drama. Now back to our regularly scheduled program:

The Meshuggah Guitarchive : Basses | Al Hunter's Tech Blog
    - I'm guessing many of you may have seen these basses on the Warwick site

    and

    - terrible video quality but you get to see him using one of them and the tone is cool

    and

    - much better quality, I got to see them live on this tour and his tone was amazeballz!

What can I say, there was a doubleshot of Meshuggah in the car this morning ;-)

I wonder where Dick's Dolphins are nowadays, he seems to play this thing exclusively.

OK, I think I need a Reverso 5-strings Broadneck. This Zon 5 Explorer is an inspiration.
Come to think of it, i *think* a Reverso is a cubist view of a Dolphin.

Yeah I know, what's up with that?!?! No doubt Zon makes great stuff too though. I believe the new album was all with the Zon. At least Wikipedia still shows him playing the LOLphin :) Like many of us though he seems to play all sorts brands, there's stuff all over online with him playing a bunch of different instruments when he does his jazzy stuff.
