Saving for 2017 doesn´t make much sense. Prices will be 20% higher than now. Get it now!!! :p

So...what CS works of art are for sure in the pipeline for forum regulars?

Off hand I can think of:

-Shelby = Short Scale Thumb BO

-A lawyer in Germany = And a bass that shall not be named or discussed anymore. Period.

-WickInSeattle = I believe is waiting on a 6'er Streamer?

-Thumbface84 = I think might have something being built?

Any others that you can think of?

You will recover financially, if not you can always fund a new custom bass by selling a few others you have lying around. We'll be waiting...

May I ask why not Gotoh?
I like the ultralites. I have to get used to them in a Warwick though. Different looks.

gb7 are impossible to get in Germany - I do not like gb707 pegs + there is very little space at the headstock as it is the identical shape of the 4 stringer. I tried Schaller M4 lights which are even ligher thant the hipshots and every bit as sturdy for a fraction of the price
but the pegs where touching.

Plus - Warwick did it again and delivered a slight neck diver by changing the position of the strap pin - so every gram counts;-)

In essence the craftmanship is outstanding but I think they lack somebody who really looks at ergonomics and such.

Or in other words - regarding some aspects of instruments they simply do not know what they do - period!

Do the ultralites really change the bass THAT much?

no - but I hate that a bass that costs something like a small car has tuners that would be ok on a harley benton

No. Some people will never be satisfied, though. So naturally the best course of action is to replace the tuners with tuners that do not help address the issue. It's a panacea.

Complaints about quality issues with Warwicks have besides neck issues almost always been about tuners and straplocks so far.

Well, physically, the torque produced by a few hundred grams at the end of a 700mm neck can be felt.
And I think you mean Placebo.
Panacea is the cure to everything.

I'll aslo agree with my fellow DiMarco, tuners and straplocks are sub-par with the quality of the overall instrument.
