So I went to Nuremberg this week to check out a Streamer (84/85), and on the way I found a nice '07 Corvette 5 FL (beautiful colour). Have to wait few more days to unwrap my 'surprise'!!

Man!

Is that a turqouise blue?
Is rare to find one with brass hardware, I've been looking for a bass like mine since 2011 with no luck.

Hi Iván,
I think I'm a very lucky guy. I don't know how the colour is called, but turquoise is probably the best call. I peeped at a black one, just when this one came up..... seems like I just tumble over these things.

Hello all, I just bought my first Corvette it's a 99'. As I'm waiting to receive it. Are there any common issues I should be aware of, or look for? I'm a complete Warwick noob. Also, is there any consensus on strings? I assume something nickel. Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

5 and 6 stringers hang in a wierd way, depending on your physique, it will be a problem or not. Not aware on any consensus on strings but I'll say steels. I belive the low B is tapered in the Warwick brand.

I've had trouble with the top strap lock "not locking" because I force the instrument in a different position that the one it wants to hang and have read some people having the same problem. Not aware of any consensus on strings but I'll say steels. I belive the low B is tapered in the Warwick brand.

I’ve only had “mid-range” quality basses because I’m in college. I saved for years for this and it’s everything I wanted. It has an option for just about every gig. The way I would describe it is just a deeper tone than anything I’ve tried plus the craftsmanship is superb. Ill never go with another brand, I might just keep getting Corvette $$ NT’s!!

These are my favorite strings, and I highly recommend them:

They are available from numerous outlets, including amazon.com.

I'm not a Warwick expert, but I would say, find the closet dealer via the Warwick website, and contact that dealer with your questions. A good dealer will go the extra mile to take care of you regardless if your bass is still covered under warranty or not.

So, it happend. I changed the original, passive MEC Electronic in my 92 Corvette for an active MEC PreAmp.

Sound changed a bit, too. It has a bit more lowend and less high mids to it, than the passive Electronic and I need to work with the EQ to get the (almost) same sound as before but I am overall very satisfied with the outcome of my work.
