Saw this on Instagram, I don't recall seeing a PJ Corvette before...

Wow... it is amazing how the flame top matches the bridge etc, as if it is growing from the back of the body... simply fantastic !

I have a MIG Corvette Fretless. I also have an upgraded Squier Fretless that has Seymour Duncan Apollo pickups in it. It sounds so much warmer than my Warwick. Has anyone else installed Apollo’s in theirs. I really love my Warwick but wish it was just a bit warmer.

Indeed, MEC are not in the "warm" realm, AND, bubinga Corvettes are agrgressive sounding beasts. Maybe you should go for another kind, more vintage voiced, pups.
Thanks. The SD Apollo’s have more warmth and a nice punch. They are a linear Humbucker.
I see they’ve gone up in price too.
Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated.

Maybe I’ll just sell it. My latest interest is a Godin Z1

Hi All
This is my Corvette $$, shes a 2020 GPS, I have to say that these basses sound great, so well made & the variety of tones you can get is, well loads.

My love of Warwick started many years ago when I played one in a shop, but was well out of my financial reach but a dream to play. I was lucky enough to win a NT Vampyre a few years later, beautiful to play but I couldn't get on with the looks so I traded it for my dream bass, a streamer like I played in the shop many years before. To my massive frustration I couldn't get on with this bass, so much so I stopped playing. A few yrs later I wanted to start again & so with a heavy heart PX'd it for a Sandberg, but that was when I found out the Streamer had a warped neck & it was like that all along. Had the berg & a couple of other basses but they weren't for me, then I played this and well it felt like all those years ago in the shop, so back in with Warwicks, they just feel right, I think its the necks. So peeved that Streamer put me off for years.

Unfortunately I'm going to put this up for sale as I need a Thumb in my life & cant legislate for 2 expensive basses (if I want to remain married).

But such a lovely bass, in my eyes anyway.

Twenty-third Wick, but first Vette ! It was about time :p
This particular one is a 97 bubinga/wenge gem that's been forgotten in its gigbag for... 21 years o_O
It was quite dirty and the frets were oxidized but after some work, it' now in a pristine New Old Stock condition !
All hardware parts are perfect, even the tuners. Happy me.

Hey guys,

I've only owned & played one Warwick bass in my time (my Fortress Masterman) & know nothing on the other Warwick basses. I have the chance to buy a 1998 Corvette FNA 4 made in Germany (Wenge not ovangkol neck) for $1100 NZD ($700 USD or 625 Euro) and wondering (I've searched online & couldn't find much good info) are they a nice sounding bass with the SD pup & pre? Are they much different sounding to the Fortress MM? I'm just hesitating because I don't want 2 basses that may sound similar? Just really looking for another Warwick (to compliment my Fortress MM) to cover all genres of music from Jazz to hard rock. If they aren't totally different sounds I might hold off & look for another Warwick.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!
