Cool bass and it looks in good shape! Do consider an active pickup upgrade at some point.

    Thanks!
Beside a minor scratch on the back and some light wear to the frets it is like new.
I am very happy with the active preamp and overall sound

    Hi all

I'm new to the forum and new to owning a Warwick

I've just purchased 2 corvette Rockbasses a 4 and a 5 string, out of interest I thought I'd see what year they were made using the S/N the 5 string came up fine as a 2017 (and is etched into the back of the headstock) but when I tried to check the 4 string it didn't come up with any info on it and the S/N is on a sticker on the back of the headstock (which I'd never seen before) ??

    _20190403_105928.JPG

The S/N for it is RB D 003056-02 don't suppose anyone would be able to help me find out some info on it

    Thanks

    Hello there,

Reading Warwick/Rockbass/Framus serial numbers are kinda easy, in most situations.

D is the month (A for january, B for february, etc.), in this case is april.

003056 is the number of the instrument made in that month, I guess, in this case, for all Rockbasses.

-02 , the number, is the year. In your case is 2002.

So, your bass is from april, 2002.

    Hope that helps, Cheers. :)

Here's my Korean pro series Corvette fretless hanging with my streamer at last nights jam session.
It has a New Zealand native wood called black maire for fretboard which is similar density to ebony. Sounds cool.

New to me 2007 Corvette Standard 5.
It's a heavy one at 11.8 pounds! Man does it sound good. I am changing all the hardware out mainly because one of the tuners bushing-nut is stripped, it only gets so tight before slipping. They don't have a name on the back. It stays in tune but I would like better tuners. I'm thinking of going all black hardware. If I do should I make a whole new thread? Also uploading photos directly to site kinda sucks the get rotated so I will sign up for a photobucket or something any recommendations on that? How about tuner brands? I like the way the Hipshot Ultralites look in black. The Gotoh's arnt bad either though. Also the new Schaller straplocks look really cool, they have an extra long threaded portion and now a knurled lock nut with a little set screw so the nut doesn't back off unexpectedly. Anyways I am new here any advice or anything else is welcome.

Tuners may be already some replacements, as they should, as far as i know have the warwick logo on it.

Also, don't use third party hoster, as so many Threads become useless as the pictures are removed by many hosters over time or if they are taken down for any reason.

    Anyway nice looking Corvette !

    Nice grain!

My choice: Hipshot Ultralites, new Schaller straplocks. My CS I ordered with Hipshots right from the start and I removed the Warwick non security straplocks after some dangerous fails.

Found this last week. 1997 Corvette with wenge neck. Much, much better neck profile than ovangkol one I had. I'm planning to replace the pickups with active MECs. Black bridge and black Schaller m4 light tuners are on their way already.

Very nice. So, mostly a fretless collection of Wicks? Just 1 fretted?

I love fretless, missing a <'91 fretless Streamer, Dolphin ....
My Streamers are fretted SSI'89, SSII'90, SSI'91 - so I'm flexible for any nice things coming up.

    Awesome, congrats!!

One of the very first Corvettes! First year. Gotta be a low serial.

These also have the cool slanted line where the neck meets the body.

Yes, serial number is 000065, so i guess it is number 65 of all.
