Is 1990 still vintage? When does this era end in the Wick-ed world? I‘m in with my 1986 Streamer. But is the Buzzard also allowed to land?

Ok, before some of say...Streamette, vintage? Herbie gave permission on the first page, so...
:D

Just installed the brass tailpiece/bridge, to go with the new knobs, new Gotoh's and even some gold screws (though those weren't originally gold, but what the hell). Next up will be the brass nut. Love this bass. Highly recommend one. They're keepers.

Bridge went in perfect, while the tailpiece was tight, but went in after some light scraping of excess wax/debris in the cavity. Sustain and just that solid feel on each string is very noticeable. Stoked. Added some weight, but it was already a heavy beast, so no biggie.

Actually I already had the idea to call a Wick when it was made in Eggolsheim, and not already in Markneunkirchen :)
The moving to Saxony was Dec 1995, so all should be older than 25 years.
So I have three modern Wicks(1996 and 2001) and 4 old ones :)
Most of them are Fortresses, only one is an Alien

I dunno, it's not on Herbie's list :p

The Streamette is one of the Wicks that doesn't really fit in anywhere. Guess there needs to be a "Stranger Things Club" o_O:)

The wings on it are 28 years old and the rest is 18. Neck through, but wait... bolt-on. Chambered. One of the weird ones.

Wait.... My mistake @EPBBass ! It is on Herbie's list! Haha. Top of the list actually.

Ok, guess I need to not rely on that list for the vintage definition :D It suited my needs. I was being selfish.

Haha ahh yes, Wenge. Well, it's official, we need to go back to the universal standard definition as @Stainless mentioned. Or else all Warwick's from '13 would meet Herb's definition

Question to Warwick Vintage addicts!

Any owners or familiarity with a TV Bass (1983)?

I don't know of anyone on here that owns one (or ever has), just the occasional sighting (one recently in Europe). The TV Bass is the very 1st bass with Warwick branding/logo. Hans-Peter's very first model. It had a little serial plate, similar to one you see on the Nobby.... though like the Nobby, some of those have possibly/likely fallen off.

Dates would probably be late '82 into early '83 before production of the TV Bass ended. It's possible they were only made in the last few months of '82. Not exactly sure how many were made. Not too many before HP and crew focused on Nobby production full time in '83 (with other prototype Wicks being made...like the Desire Bass and Mesacool guitar, along with the Streamer starting in '84)
