I've seen your videos and I totally see why. I dare not try that in series mode. I'm only up against 1 guitar and keyboard.

Does the P-Nut I have a slim neck or thick baseball bat neck?

Any P-Nut I sound clips around?

@shaftbass - The P-Nut is quite Bassball bat, but it never bothered me. It felt surprisingly natural. What bothered me was the weight of the bass. It took me about a year to get used to it and then I was offered a pile of cash for it. Unfortunately it had to go. I do miss that tone. I did however get my hands on a Streamer LX Custom Shop this week. Gold sparkle finish with matching headstock and maple neck and finger board with block inlays. All passive. Seymour Duncan Antiquity II's in it. It's like a Warwick Jazz bass. With bling. Love it!

Yeah, I'm driving a dented Bentley, lol!..In all fairness, I bought it used about a year ago and everything was working. Warwick CS dude, Mr Africano, assisted me and told me which resistor to change but I've decided not to mess around in there unless absolutely necessary. The last two lights are completely out and the next two flicker until they decide to stay on or off for the night. I figure, no one knows what its supposed to look like anyway and it doesn't affect performance, so I'll wait.
It sounded so good, i was asked to sit in with the opening band next show. A few people took pics of my set up, which is always nice.

I wish I liked my P-Nut III more than I did. Man that's a great looking bass.

Shaft!..Sorry to hear you were disappointed after such a long wait. I saw your Hellborg up for grabs too. I just picked my Pnut back up after not playing out for months because my jazz bass is so comfortable. It's really a beautiful bass and my band keeps asking me to use it because it just rips like nothing else, especially with the HB. My only issue is the narrow string spacing when compared to my jazz, but then again I designed everything about that bass.
For me, the tone alone makes it a keeper, i just have to be more careful of hand position.
Is there a thread on what u didn't like about the bass and HB? Still got the SS2? What amp will you gig with? I'm guessing that on your level, monitors are provided.

Hi folks,

Today is a momentous day in my life. Today I became the owner of a P-Nut II which I traded with a fellow site member. It was a blind trade and a bit of a gamble but oh my god!!!! This bass feels as if it was made for me, the neck, the array of pick up selections, the looks, the d tuner and even the rounded edge of the humbucker is fab.. Ive owned many many Warwicks but this has blown my mind today.

Thank you HPW & P-Nut and i'm very proud to be able to apply for membership in this group.

Awesome, already scheming to acquire a III

I loved the Hellborg pre, but, I couldn't justify keeping it. It's an expensive pre and I rarely used it. I sold it for more than I paid for it.

No thread on what I didn't like about the P-Nut III, other than it was really quiet in the higher notes, like up on the G string. I tried strings, setup, pickup height, etc. Came to the conclusion that it was just a characteristic of that bass.

I still have the SSII and I love it. I'll never sell it :D

I'm using a Mesa M9.

Ah, there's no level for me my friend! I'm really not playing many shows now because of work. It pays too well for me to quit and persue music full time. I'll probably pick up some weekend gigs here and there. That's about it.

I'm glad you love your setup! I still have my Big Cab for sale. I'd like to just sell it and get a Club Cab, because that's where all the Hi Fi sound comes from. Couple that with a 4x10 or 2x12 and you're set.
