I was curious if anyone on the forum owns or has played either of these "Special Edition" basses? I'm interested in knowing, in particular, how The Lynx sounds with the Piezo-bridge? The spalted maple looks amazing (Lynx), not that the swirly bubinga (Lion) isn't plenty eye catching...

I'm in Spain right now, doing clinics sponsored by Backline, the Spanish distributor. Backline is the company that ordered the Lynx and the Lion series from the Custom Shop, and they just released their newest limited edition: the Tiger. I got to play one on the clinic yesterday, and it's beautiful... Corvette $$, but with Bartolinis, with an ash body and tigerwood top...

Anyway, my understanding is that these basses are only offered to the Spanish dealers... there were only 30 of the Lion, only 30 of the Lynx, and only 50 of the Tiger.

So... unfortunately... good luck finding one!

Thanks for the info, Seth. I didn't think I was in a position to get one, mainly thinking about a custom shop bass. But I'll be very interested to see "The Tiger"...

Haha!

I actually started the auction (eBay) last week, but it's comforting to learn that the $$ NT is everything I expected and more. There's no $$ NT Ash in my near future (or any other basses), but I'll certainly have a little cash "left over"...

Hehehe, BUSTED !!! But that's totally ok.................. 8)

As Seth mentioned before. These instruments are only offered by Backline to dealers throughout Spain. I got a chance to play The Lynx a few months ago in Germany while they were finishing them. Definitely a nice instrument, and beautiful too.

The spanish gallery is even slower :p

I found a topic on the forum about my custom before I had even seen it because it was in the german and english gallery but not in the spanish one and since the web browses you to "your language" (I suppose according to the IP address)...

Backline is doing a good work with limited editions, and I feel miserable about not being able to see Seth live because of my damned last year university thesis.

I wanted a special occasion to wear my new brokedown T-shirt for the first time

Hey! I met a boutique dealer in Spain last night who has a Lynx, and he doesn't care where you live; he'll sell it to you. Private message me if you're interested and I'll pass your info on to him. :D

The Linx basses (last 2 available here)

Hi everybody.

My name is Joaquín García, and I have a specialized Bass Shop in Spain called Doctorbass (www.doctorbass.net). The site is in English and Spanish (just click on the flags on the top left corner).

This is my first message in this forum.
I am a big fan of Warwick basses, of course, and always have a good selection of Limited Editions and CS models in the shop.

I have 2 Lynx basses in stock (one 4, one 5 string), and will be happy to ship them anywhere. Once they're gone, they're gone.

You can find them at the bottom of the Warwick Custom Shop section in my website:

You can email ([email protected]) or PM me and I'll get you a quote of shipping to your place.

By the way, Seth played an amazing set at the Warwick/Framus demo in Madrid a few days ago. His playing was unbelievable, but more impressive was that he did it while singing his heart out at the same time. Some guys are gifted!

That's depressing! The Lion 5 string costs less in Europe than a standard Corvette $$ goes for in Australia.

When seth mentioned a specialized bass dealer in Spain having lynxes in stock and giving excellent customer care I knew it must be you ;)

Have been offered a Corvette Lynx, but not seen it yet. Does anyone know if it has the fat "baseball-bat" neck, or the slim neck? It is built in 07, and I basses from that year can go either way...
