Well brothers, I've completely upgraded the ol' '86. New frets, new bridge (same Schaller 3D), new tuners (same Schaller M4), replaced the JAN1 with a JAN3, replaced EMGs with MECs, updated the MEC preamp, and even swapped in fresh knobs. It was awesome before; it is Fawesome now! The tone, clarity, presence, growl... Wow! Just Wow! Oh, and it's all shiny now too. :D

Keep the original parts, it‘s collectors stuff. Not the frets ofc. :D

And now play it!

Keep the original parts
It would seem that the hardest part to find ATM are the pickup screws! Newer pickup screws have a 5mm head; the originals have 5.5mm heads. I cannot find them anywhere, gold or otherwise. Why I lose sleep over this minute detail is beyond me

Finally, Buzzard in flight... Can't wait to get her in my hands!!
You guys are a great influence... Thanks!
My brother James was the initial draw as these were his main for many years.
I've always wanted one, but the Dolphins are where it's at for me, but to have the Buzzard's distinct sound and tone
is something that I have always craved... I missed one earlier this year by a day and POW this showed up!
Psyched!!!!

Tbh I kinda like the look of it, too. Bit of Photoshopping (well I'm using Affinity Photo nowadays) can give some ideas for the future.

I have a case problem The flight case for the Buzzard with it‘s 20 kg is a bit bulky and I wouldn‘t trust my beloved bass to a Rockbag. I like the Gator Polyfoam lightweight case. But as you can see in the pics, it fits my Thumb, but the Buzzard... What do you Buzzard Brothers use for transport / storage?
