D'Addario XL Nickel Wound for that true Warwick nasal mids and grrrrrrrrowl. Plus, the last forever and ever...

I've replaced mine yesterday after trying out different sets for the past couple of months. I don't know why I never thought of D'Addario.

The new set sounded nearly identical to the set that was installed in the 90's which was very well played.

I don't wish to open a can of worms, but for regular finger playing, bass strings can last decades...

Growliest strings I've personally ever encountered are Rotosound Swingbass 66 stainless 45-105 gauge. That being said I always use Black Labels on my Warwicks because I find them quite similar to RS66's, but they are a better fit for older Warwick basses at the tuning peg end.
