    Dear all,

It has been a few years since I last visited this forum, but I am happy to be back again!
Reason is the purchase of a very nice Streamer LX5!
It has a wenge neck and fingerboard an a maple gloss finish body. Somewhere between transparent green teal and blue.

I have a question about the serial number, which is like:
    M-002****5-98

I always thought the first letter stood for the month and the last figures for the year.

    So 1998.

But M is the 13th letter in the alphabet...

    What month could that be?

    Thanks for helping!
    Sietze

But seriously, I believe that for some odd reason M stands for december @ Markneukirchen.

    Yes. Doublechecked.

    Warwick use A B C D E F G H J K L M for the months.

Quite a few manufacturers do not use the letter I in their serial numbers. This is because in the simple fonts, normally used for that purpose, the number 1 and the capital letter I can be identical, or nearly so.
