here is Charlie Parker "Blues for Alice" which I wrote out as a reading example

The second 12 bar is the melody line

The third 12 bar is adding semitone descents where the more adventurous could use tritons sub/Lydian dominant etc

Here is a couple of blues forms
The first has an interesting change in Bars 7-8

The second is a minor Blues in C

Both these are ideas from Rufus Reid's excellent book "Evolving Bassist".

I'm part way through Wynton Kelly's solo on "Freddie the Freeloader" off Miles Davis "Kind of Blue"

If I end up happy with it I'll post it up

Btw really like Kelly's 'touch' it's way cool

    Sorry but I don’t do 4/4 —- I kid, kid-

But I thought that two flats meant the key of Bb major- Oh wait that’s the Miles Davis “Blues By 5” post-

    Sorry bro!

Nevertheless- good on you for rendering the standard notation (cuz I HATE tablature)

I was listening to a live recording of Miles Davis last week
I don't know what Tony Williams cares for time signatures
But holy he has here he is

Here is a couple of walking lines that might be useful for beginning 5 Str players

Beautiful Love has a couple of Lydian Dominant chords which were talked about earlier
