Hi my friends,

here are the first pics from my Project:

This was before work:
a lot of scratches, dings and dongs, BAck from Body scratches/worn out as to the bare wood, rusty frets, rusty tuners, fretboard thick with human grease, dirt, mud etc.etc.

Body after sanding and sanding out the scratches and Dings and Dongs:

Neck before cleaning/polishing and refininish the laquer:

Body after primer and respraying:
i have decided to go with Vintage White

Now i have to think what Endfinish the body will have...
Glossy or matte

Pickguard:

The Pickguard was very scratchy, bleeched out and had some yellowish/Peecolor areas.
Because the PG has an unusual shape, that i can't find in shops i have decided to transform it to an golden/brass metal style Pickguard.

...will be continued............

yes nacho.. white will rest...but i have to decide if i make this white glossy or matte....

because i dont want a thick color coat like acyrlic BAsses i must make a second layer on top..the white only is too thin...so glossy will be an oil finsih and matte with Wax :D

hehehehe...after sleeping i ahve decided to make the white semi-glossy...

Indeed, but I don´t want to look like an ass ranting all the time about gold, more when you have made a great job on that bass. :)

body bombed..to archieve the semi-gloss look, the last coat is been sprayed from a long distance, so it reaches demi-dry the surface.. so after drying, you can polish with an abrasive cream/emulsion to the desired semi-gloss state..

but i think about to buy me in future a compressor paint Kit, like in nail studios... the more i refinish basses the more better it would be.. because bombs are not cheap and with an compressor you can contron better the Flux of the paint

Looks great - Love the gold plate to contrast the white - I still have an old Peavey amp head and it sounds excellent, very durable and lots of options - You should post a sound clip

hahahaha these are the Cheap HArley Benton Srings Medium 105 for 4,98 € ;)

it;s the first time i tested these and that isn't as bad as all.... good growl, good mids...lessy crispy highs and a bit less output as warwick red labels...
