Hey - does anybody know when the Proline's were discontinued? 2005-ish maybe? Just curious... M

That sounds about right to me, Mike. I remember the Corvette $$ came out in 2004 and the ProLine was still in the series at that point, but was gone a year or two later...

It's a seriously underrated bass.. I haven't personally seen any newer ones than late '04. Cool... Thanks. M

I couldn't agree more. The ProLine and it's Streamer counterpart, the LX, are absolutely killer basses. Are you thinking of selling yours?

Not only no, but **** no. That pm was in regards to the CS. My Proline is the most consistent, reliable, predictable, comfy, and musically capable bass I've ever had. When I don't know what I want to play, i grab that one. It always makes me smile whatever style or type of music I want to play. :) Mike

    Thank, God! 8:

I would say the same thing about my LX, so I know exactly what you mean...

I have been kicking around with the idea of scoring another CS next year if I get the contract in Afghanistan that I applied for... Basically, order a Proline 5, ebony fretboard, 5 piece neck of ovangkol with two flame maple stringers, TJ in the bridge position, and a 5A flame body in natural oil. Basically like God's Proline, were he to desire to have one built... I have the feeling that would be one SICK bass...

    Sounds awesome, man!

If I were to get another Warwick, 10-to-1 it's another LX...

EDIT: I almost pulled the trigger on another SS2, but I prefer the LX.

Ah yes.. you're one of those '4 strings is enough' crowd.. I almost forgot  . Does that guy have some wicked prices or what??! He's got a Corvette NT5 Ash for dirt cheap! The 4 stringer of the same spec is like $1600 or something. Craziness..

    Me too.

07-08 huh? Maybe early 07 or end of 06 model year? JAN3 came out in late 07 and I'm pretty sure there aren't any Proline's with stock JAN3 (mine has one but I did the mod later on). :) M

I absolutley love mine. I bought it to flip it at a great price and it moved to be my go to Bass. My Thumb I play for my harder band, but for covers I play my Proline and Fender Jazz.

I actually traded a Thumb BO for mine. It was NOS from '04 that had been 'lost' in the warehouse at BassCentral for three years. They found it behind a bunch of boxes during a reorganization of the storage space!! I got it to try a different flavor and it's become my go-to as well. Glad they found it, even more happy that it came to me :).

Just for curiosity, how's your GBE750 holding up? I've had mine for about 3 years and not a squeak of trouble from that amp so far, but it only lives in the house. I don't gig with it or anything.
