    Hi,

i want to custom paint my RB Fortress and i was wondering what kind of matte paint should i use to paint over the original glossy paint without sand it.

My idea would be to use some adhesive tape and some papers to mask the parts of the bass that i dont want to paint and to spray some paint on the parts i want to paint. Is this possible? what kind of spray paint should i use? will stay there forever or i will stain all my clothes? should i use some kind of wax or a layer of... something? i really want the new paint to be matte. Is it ok if i also paint the strings? :D

    Thanks

painting the strings will pretty much instagib them and make them very dull. Can't answer on the paint type but would guess anything aggressive to be trouble
