ProFet 4 is not in production anymore..

    I own a X-treme head and a ProFet 3.2S head..
    Both are great.

If I were you I'd go for the ProFet 5.1 head..

Why do you recommend the ProFet 5.1 over the X-treme and 3.2?

A buddy of mine is selling his Profet 4 here in the UK (Norwich). It'll probably cost a bomb to post but I'll pass on the contact if you're interested?

My buddy is Gamble from BW ;)

I recommend the ProFet 5.1 because he want's ONE amp head..

I have one X-treme 1000watt head for large gigs and I use my PROFET 3.2S for Smaller gigs..

If I only can take ONE amp it would have been the PROFET 5.1

I hear a lot about 'headroom' from bass players, wouldn't you have a lot of headroom if you used your xtreme at a small gig? Sorry about the questions, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this.

Sometimes on smaller gigs the X-treme is TO power full.. It's to loud even on the first little dot...

That's why I have two amps.

haha I never realised that or never thought about it that way!

So when you say small gigs, how small are you talking about? In a small bar that holds maybe 100 people?

Church gigs? How big is your church? Some churches can hold a few hundred people.

Also, I checked out the Warwick website but couldn't find the information about the Profet 5.1 - the website only says it's 500w @ 4ohms. What other ohm settings does it have and what wattage is available at those ohm settings?

The PROFET 5.1 can drive a 8ohm speaker (since most speaker cabs are 8 ohm).. In 8 Ohm it will give you about 250-270 watts I think..

    That's quite low at 8ohms!
