    Hi Fishdub,

In 1984 there were no Stage 1 or Stage 2 models so this is called a "Streamer Bass".
Later on two seperate models were defined, the PJ maple being the Stage 1 and the JJ Afzelia the Stage 2.

So this is not a modified model, just happens to be a JJ one.
But what is that weird spot between the first and 2nd frets on the neck? That would worry me.

It is indeed a genuine Streamer, a "Paddle Head or Spector headstock" (you can search the forum for this). As a players bass, the JJ configuration maybe interesting, but because it was modified from the original PJ configuration, it is a negative point from a collectors view. There are not many Spector headstock but 1100-1200€ seem more realistic thus. Wouldn't worry too much about the neck. See also

What do you mean with strange? He's honest: remod, damaged lacquer

It's a matter of price and if you buy a collectable that's modified (collectors can be picky on this). Maybe you can ask @schlobodan for opinions....

Like I said, I can’t understand or translate. What does remod mean?

Modified, so it is not in the original state of a PJ pickup configuration
