Hi. I had an older thumb bolt on 4 string with Duncan active EQ pickups. It was made before the volute was added to necks. I'm wondering what preamp would have been in it. It worked and sounded amazing so I never bothered to really look at it. I want to do something similar with my new Streamer NT.

Warwick used to have SD Basslines preamps in some of their jazzman and infinity models before 2001.
    It might have been that.

Did you get a "slap contour" by pulling the volume pot? Basslines preamps have that feat.

No there was no contour. The Duncan pickups had the three little dip switches. But it would make sense if they were using matching preamps. I had read they used mec preamps before they used MEC PU's so I wasn't sure. Hopefully someone has one and can look inside!
    Thank you!
