The new "Spartan" amp will appear in march.
2x800w @ 4ohm. No gain knob. No fxloop. 5band EQ. Spartan.

This no frills powerhouse of an amp will no doubt sound hefty and articulate. More info will be posted as it becomes available.

Must be yet another great bass amp from the hands of Marc. I still have my Vanderkley VA615 and VA750 pre/power combination which is absolutely fantastic.

Never heard anything bad about VanDerKleys gear. I should check it out.

With 2x separate 800W power sections and no gain control I would say not.

2 x 800 watt??? Can this thing amp the whole stage or what? Just drilling the speaker cable into the floor?

500-800W @4ohm Class D switching amps are not uncommon these day, weighing in at a couple kilos, looks like they just stuck two in the same box!

The difference is in the components used inside the pre section guys, same goes for the Hellborg system. Also the EQ frequencies look promising. Low is at 40hz and lowmid at 90hz. This way you can cut unwanted sub-lows while adding beef at 90hz. The treble sits at 11khz which adds modern sounding silky highs.

I am definitely interested and want to test it against a Mesa D800+, which has a hpf dial for cutting unwanted dirt in the sub area.

Cleaning up the sub lows really tightens up your tone and keeps your speakers from flapping out.
