Welcome to the forum Dave. It's good to meet you. Also, Florin's Streamer is not a "typical" streamer. Not by a long shot. You can check it out in the for sale section. He recently stole, errrr, I mean obtained it from another forum member.;)

My Thumb is apparently 4.3Kg and a Streamer from same era is 4.4Kg both neck thru versions.
I could remember it being a similar weight but more evenly balanced compared to the neck heavy Thumb.

Hi, I am Rick from Tucson AZ. I purchased a Warwick Left-Handed $$ GPS a little over a year ago. It has the 2 monster pu's and normal knobs plus two micro switches for varying the pick up phases. It's awesome!!

Hello all! I'm C.A., and I'm absolutely new here! How new you ask? Well, this is my very first post, so there ya go! I've lurked on here before, but since I just got my first Warwick in about a decade, I figured I'd join. I've been an active member on another popular bassist forum for many years, but decided I should branch out a bit.

So, my new bass. I just snagged a 2004 SS1 6 string, broad neck, honey violin. She's been loved and played for a long time, and it shows, but still very presentable. I plan on refinishing it soon (same color, don't want to fight with a color change,) and fixing her up a little. She has the original MEC pickups, but the preamp was changed out with a Noll 2 band preamp with passive tone control. Not sure I'll keep it in, but it sounds wonderful and just as a Warwick should.

Anyways, I look forward to getting to know some of you guys!

Thanks Paul! I really love it! It's taking a little bit to get used to the 20mm spacing, but the sound and tone is worth the effort

Not new, but back after many years. I blame it on Flo:) who recently replied to some wickedly old threads that I was subscribed to, which triggered email notifications so I had to come back and check things out!

That would be my Euphonic Audio iAmp head ontop an Euphonic Audio nl210 cab. It's a very hi-fi and transparent setup, so it really does the Warwick justice!

Well I would like to reintroduce myself!

I first joined the forum in 2006 or 7 I believe, I was just 15 years old and had worked all summer to buy my first Warwick, a brand new 2006 corvette $$, I had been hooked on the good old W since I started taking lessons and my first teacher had a '98 streamer stage I!

The last tour I did was as a fill in for the metal band Within the Ruins on the 2014 summer slaughter tour (supporting bands such as morbid angel, the faceless with Evan Brewer at the time, dying fetus etc.) it was a dream come true! To make that dream come true even better, I sold my music man and picked up my P Nut artist series to go with my red 02 streamer Lx jazzman.

Fast forward to today, I am 24 years old, and have 2 streamer Lx jazzman 5s (my dream bass since I was a kid) a Pnut artist series, a 6 string streamer stage I BN and my trusty old corvette.

This place has always been special and I am so happy to still be apart of it.

haha, last one almost got it!
    bass, boobs and beer :)

we used to be drinking at Frankfurt Musikmesse quite a bit and talk about basses. And at some point we were hoping for some boobs, but that's one thing we have to put more effort in, from now on!
