Yes it's correct, my bad. (See @Henrythe8 ?) So, in parallel you can choose each one or both coils. In series you have a quick way to solo the neck pickup, taking one coil out. It's a cool setup.

Edit: Finalized the version as it is clear this design will work. Thanks for checking with me, Yanni! I drew the lines more clearly now, added some colours for an easier to read schematic and added a description of the controls.

Note: Yes. 500k pots for some extra treb, taking the tone woods into consideration.

The Truss rod is in position. Also digging that the Bubinga grain is somewhat swirly.

Don't you guys agree the slanted neck pickup placement looks way better on a jazz body then the regular?
I love how that looks on the body and pickguard!

The European Walnut top has been fixed onto the headstock

To make it look like this. Of course we use the most burly bit of it on the body.

Beautiful fingerboard! This is gonna be a killer bass. Please post as much pictures as possible :) However this doesn't help my urge to build a new bass at all :d

Being curious about how the walnut top will look when lacquered, the headstock got a bit of spraying just now.
Me and Vincent discussed this color, especially wether or not it will be dark enough to make the body reveal (red cedar) stand out enough.
We may have to darken the walnut a little extra but will decide on this once the body reveal exists.

For now, I can only say I really love the look of European Walnut.

Well the same tools in my hands would not make anything close to a bass that's for sure. :D
Vincent has been one of my best friends for many many years now and a great guitarist besides an oldskool and skillful luthier. No CNC involved.

This whole idea becoming a real instrument and him building it means a lot to me.

The headstock - well it is the Vincent headstock. You either like it or not. I do.
