My dream Warwick would cost a lot...

I just looked up the quotes on a bass spec'd to my liking through the CS.

It came out 9045 retail. OUCH! Now, I know that the actual price would be a bit cheaper than that, but still. That is a LOT of money!:lol:

This is what I spec'd:

Streamer Stage II 5-string:

- broadneck (20 mm) spacing
- 9-piece wenge/afzelia neck
- afzelia body with matching headstock, high polish natural finish
- Seymour Duncan soapbar pickups and preamp, splitable (will specify below)
- Hipshot D-tuner on the B-string and ultralite tuning keys
- JAN I
- Side and front LEDs, spiral inlays and a special "A" at the 12th fret, the A should be red, and the spirals maybe amber, or also red. Headstock "W" also illuminated.
- extra toggle switch for the coil-split.
- gold hardware

The pickups should basically be two AJB-5:s in a soapbar housing x2. That way I could get the "regular" Stage II sound, as well as a soapbar sound at my will. Don't know if this is possible, but it's my dream after all...

I'll just go out for some lottery tickets then!:lol:

it is way to expensive........what kind of bass costs that much, you may get the same stuff but not warwick in half price. Warwick is always my No.1 choice but that don't mean they can rob me....:twisted:

but that information ist very important for me greg!
because the employee in the music store told me that i have to pay the price of the cs-pricelist. i said it would be only the suggested retail price! for comparison: the price of ssII (regular modell) in the warwick-pricelist is approx. 3.800 EUR or something. but i would pay maybe 3.000 EUR in store.

so is he kidding me??!!!!

Hey Peter, for most of the dealers, the price is much lower than the recommended price.
You live in Germany, you can even ask Thomann...

There was some news about customshop basses becoming significantly more pricey - because the dealers don't get the same discount they used to last year.
But I don't know if the cs-list price would be the real one.

Peter - I'm also from Munich. Which dealer did you ask? Lindberg seems to have better connections to Warwick, I'm justmusic fan, though.

i asked lindberg, because they have the ssII in store at the moment and i wanted to try it before.

aber überleg mal: für den ssII in normaler ausführung würde ich so 3.000 EUR zahlen. und nur wegen dem led-logo, dem nirvana black oil finish und anderer hardware lege ich 1.600 drauf??? da stimmt was nicht.

Ja, die leds sind aber alleine halt schon schweineteuer. Dafür müssen die ja komplett Kabelgänge fräsen. Ich denk mal auch beim besten Preis wirst du mindestens noch 1000€ für das alles Zahlen müssen.
Was ich aber immer ganz gerne gemacht hab, ist mir genau bei denen immer die Angebote sowohl von einem als auch vom anderen zu holen. So hab ich meine Corvette für den guten Preis den ich beim justmusic bekommen hätte, beim Lindberg geholt - weil letzterer sie auf Lager hatte, ersterer nicht. Die stehen da ziemlich unter Zugzwang. Ansonsten wirklich mal ne Anfrage bei thomann machen - gibt auch bei ebay nen Kerl, der verkauft fast jede Woche einen von den ziemlich teuren Warwick-Bässen. Bei dem hab ich auch mal ne Anfrage gemacht, und der ist halt verdammt günstig! Wenn ich über den wieder stolpere, sag ich dir mal bescheid. Aber so ein Angebot kann man entweder wahrnehmen, oder halt benutzen um ein bisschen Druck auf den Händler zu machen. Die reagieren beide dann zwar immer total pissig, von wegen "ja der macht das aus seiner Garage, hat keinen so großen Laden und blabla" - aber da muss man denen auch eingestehen nicht genau den Preis zu wollen, sondern einen Kompromiss zu machen dann ging das bei mir schon auch immer ganz gut. Aber wie gesagt, der Customshop hat irgendwas zum Jahresanfang umgestellt. Früher wars anscheinend so, dass je mehr ein Händler bestellt hat bei Warwick, desto bessere Angebote hat er mit der Zeit bekommen - und das bezieht sich jetzt anscheinend nicht mehr (oder nicht mehr in dem Umfang) auf die CS Sachen.

danke für deine hilfe. aber ich will ja keine leds aufm griffbrett sondern nur das w-logo. und das kostet ca. 500 EUR.

hab heute bei nem laden in ner anderen stadt angefragt. da sinds schon ein paar hunderter weniger die versuchen halt alle erstmal, mir den uvp aufzudrücken. versuchen kann mans ja.
