No one would dare get up on stage with one of those! I guess it's for people who're okay with the fact that they're stolen and will keep them at home....
I think Kris is absolutely right.
Years ago a childhood mate of mine was offered a rare Fender guitar that was stolen a week ealier from an Australian band that everyone has heard of.He bought it & had a luthier, who also knew it's origin, restore & re-spray it.Sure the unfortunate owner was a rock star with dozens of guitars & dollars in the bank but that doesnt make it ok for him to be ripped off. This band have recently re-formed & every time I see em on TV the stolen guitar is the first thing I think of.My childhood mate now lives in the USA & plays in a very successful band.
Life goes on but I'm certain that guitarist will never forget losing that guitar.
Theft is one of the lamest lowlife crimes ever. I've never had musical equipment stolen. But last year someone took my iPod and headset right out of my backpack, at school. Insurance probly covered it, and I have a new iPod and headset now, but something's wrong when people go around and take valuable possessions from people.
Cutting fingers and hands of thiefs really isn't that barbaric in the eyes of the victim...
I'm in a country right now where the actually do punish people like that and I find it to be the most dispicable and disgusting thing that people arae capable of. The punishment should fit the crime
Im my city we had 2 thieves shot and killed by a neighbor a couple weeks ago and you wouldn't believe the support the man that shot them is getting. Quanell X got ran out of the neighborhood when he came and tried his usual crap. If your a thief, that's a chance you take!...
In my opinion there's a difference between self-defence (killing them is perhaps too extreme) but here in Saudi they execute people for petty crimes. Sorry for hijacking th topic
