Material Written By Changes In Your Life

[RIP]

As I have gotten older, less and less inspires me to do anything creative "Out of the Box" stuff.

But I recently broke up with my long time GF (she wanted to have a baby, I didn't). I wrote this trying to describe the ups and downs of our relationship......it is not 100% finished, but I think it's a good start


Any of you guys ever wrote something trying to describe something in your life?......post it if you got it

I should. I think about this from time to time.

For the creative thing you mentioned, a looper and a few cool pedals will inspire creativity for sure!

For sure, I've added a few more parts to it since the OP, now I want to tweak it a little with some effects and stuff to get more expression out of it.

If someone was to listen to it now, they'd have a hard time trying to tell if it was inspired by anything other than wanting to play fast

Kinda related, kinda not. This song got me through a terrible breakup years ago, and is killer musically. Yours kinda reminded me of it minus the triplets.

Actually the whole Soundsystem album was written during a really dark time in Nick's life. The songs are all fucking bad ass because of it. In my opinion, dark/sad/lonely times produce the best songs.
