I think it will be even better if you want that W growl :)
The 3 band EQ has 800 Hz mid frequency. That brings up a round, vocal, old school sound. 2 Band Eq has 2500 hz treble, and that brings up the true Warwick growl :)
And 2500 is mid control :)

Katanas are awesome basses, you will love it!

After Pauls advice I installed Dean Markley strings too, very good choice for the Katana BO!

In the live vid you can hear a click on the bass tone. When playing live and without pick I tend to dig too hard into the strings. With more treble it would sound worse. That’s why I more use the real bass frequencies to get audible. In former times I used a bit of overdrive to avoid that uncontrolled click from the frets. Today I try to improve my playing technique. Too bad on stage I forget all my lessons, harhar!

So the two band EQ will be fine.

How would you describe the tone of the Katana compared to the Corvette?

    Thanks

I'm no expert but I would describe it as someone else snatching that French Violet Katana if this discussion thread goes on much longer. :p

Katana NT has a fat, round, organic sound. Imagine something rickebackerish added to the Corvette Warwick sound.

All Warwick necks feel the same (if you compare necks from the same era), except of course some models like BN, fat neck or extraslim neck custom order, or Buzzard and dolphin 4 strings that have wider nut.
A modern katana neck is slim and fast.

Should I change the hardware to black? I was originally thinking of doing it but now I’m thinking of keeping it chrome. I think the chrome kind of offsets the dark.
