Hey yeah, we haven't even considered new amps and cabs for 2007 yet. We spent all this time talking about the basses that we forgot all about what really makes them growl.

That thing looks damn sweet! I'd prefer it in a combo though for the music I play

I guess he has been using them with the regular warwick pro and neo cabs, or are we gonna be treated to JH series cabs too. the power ratings seem a little low for the normal 4x10 cabs.

will be interesting to try the preamp. i am bandless, and only noodle about in my bedroom "studio", so a nice preamp with DI out would be a sweet adition.

I've been going to the NAMM show for five years now. I'm used to spending seven or eight hours a day walking the entire Anaheim convention center, top to bottom, meeting and greeting and talking and trying out gear... for four days straight. It's a huge social networking event.

This year, for the first time, I'm going to be pretty much chained to the Warwick booth for the entire show.

One would think I might be anxious about this, given my history and how used to roaming I am.

    Not so.

I look at it as a chance to play Jonas's new amp before ANYONE ELSE.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA... BWOOO HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
    MINE!!
    MINE!!!
IT IS ALLLLL MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

    ...ahem...

umm... unless Ollie wakes up before me and beats me to it.

250W? Is this a tube power amp?

Yes it is. There are two different power amps. One is a single channel 250W power amp, the other one is a 250W per channel Stereo Power Amp. This one can be bridged and become a 500W mono Tube amp.

500W of tube power would really be handy... if you wanted to kill someone...
This is the first time I'm really interested in trying a warwick amp. And the design is one of the sexiest I've ever seen. Well done!

We'd have to thank Jonas for this one. He designed most of the circuitry himself and it's based on a Neve channel strip. The EQ is THE quietest I've ever seen in my whole life. The sound is clean and with very little EQ you can make your instrument sound really good. From what he told me, he's using a really wide bandwidth for the EQ curves. But to be honest with you, all I can say is: "go out and try one as soon as you can". This thing will blow you head off.

Note: The Hellbord rig consists of the Hellborg Preamp + Hellborg Amp. The preamp by itself might do more good than the amp by itself. Even though, together they are the best pair I've ever seen in my life.

Sounds good! So, is the preamp also tube? If yes, how many tubes in it?
Also, do we have any weight estimates for the preamp and the power amps?
