    Hey all.

Wondering if this is a standard FNA Jazzman finish at all, or if this is a possible CS or SE model.

Looks like a different body wood to me, also the fingerboard here looks like maple.
    my guess is CS.

Yeah. Maple was my guess on the fingerboard, but I'm not sure on the body. Pommelle or regular Bubinga maybe? Unfortunately I don't have the serial # to find out. Just ran across it while browsing, but there was no info.

If im not mistaken, I believe that was a Guitar Center special edition.

    Hi,

I'm a new member here so Hi everybody ! :)

I have the same model (see pictures), I bought it on Craigslist, the guy told me it was a Special Limited Edition "Guitar Center 36th Anniversary" (Bubinga top, maple bottom, maple fretboard ). I think it's more 37th Anniversary I think, see this link:
Limited Edition Warwick Bass is GC Exclusive - Warwick - 2001-10-16 | Harmony-Central.com
the serial # ends with 00, so it was made in 2000.

    It's not a custom shop.

It's not really a classic FNA Jazzman... there is an active electronics and a Push-Pull Volume Control Boost but there is just a 2-way electronics (eq) not a 3-way like the classic FNA jazzman, and there isn't this fancy 2 "function" volume pot.

I really like mine, even if I can't get a very low action on it.
I also have a Corvette Double buck $$ that I really like (I'm selling it: see the for sale section) but I prefer this one, the sound is more defined and clear, better when I try to play chords, it's less muddy (but the sound is less in-your-face than the $$).
The bad thing: I might need to sell it because I need money.

I realy like the wood on your, can you post more pictures ?

    Whatta gorgeous bass bOjO.
Just one teeny detail about it.The back is swamp ash, rather than maple.
I bet it has a beautiful slap tone.

Wow. That is nice. Unfortunately I don't own the bass I posted above. I found it on Guitar Center's used site, and that is the only image they have of it. It's currently at the GC in Fredericksburg, Virginia if anyone is near there and curious though.

With regard to your high action, you might take it to a shop and have them shim the neck a bit in order to bring it up just a hair. I had to have that done with my Thumb.

Very nice! Had no idea GC did a special edition 'Vette... I knew about the Thumb (which is also very nice), but not this one.

    Hey John,
It's basically the same as the 2001 LTD Edition Thumb BO.
