Just thought i would post this, wondering what it would sound like.

    Description:
Warwick Custom Shop Thumb 5 Neck Thru.

Originally built for Paul Turner of Jamiroqua fame, this bass is incredible. Triple Jazz set up, active preamp, LED's down the side of the neck, bubinga body, neck thru construction. The B string is incredible!!!

I have never really wanted a thumb, or a white bass......until i saw this thing.
I hope it doesn't sell before my next melbourne trip so i can have a go at it.

Wondering if it is worth getting. I wonder if it would sound like a standard thumb nt5? Can't seem to find it on the Warwick Custom page...

Besides the fact it is one of the most tasty Thumbs I´ve ever seen, I don´t see a reason it wouldn´t sound as a "normal" Thumb Bass. I mean, it has the bridge and "middle" pups in the standard Thumb NT5 position, with an added pup towards the neck. If you only select the bridge and middle pups, you will have it.

I don´t know how, or if it could be done on that Thumb, but, IMHO, it would be idiot if you order a Thumb NT5 that doesn´t allows you to get THE THUMB SOUND. 8:

I bought a similar one (3 pickups) from Paul. The volume pot when pulled, was selecting Middle+bridge, and pushed was bridge+ neck pickup.
    Very interesting bass :)

It's a shame, really wanted that bass, will have to continue looking for a standard thumb nt5 now.

Thats a cool setup, so effectively you have thumb 5 or thumb 4 pickup positioning ?
