just saw this thing. he modded with new fretboard, bridge and all the rest by the looks. he confirmed with me it was modded not factory. crazy dedication to a bass... would've cost a motza

personal reason, itz prolly about the same

if Warwick made a fan fret i would consider purchasing one.

The aesthetics and design of of the thumb bass is just asking to be multiscale. Load up a hipshot or single saddle bridges (i mean they do a schaller 3d for custom orders so why not), splay them frets out and see how the customers respond. 33 to 35.5, just a little, just to help the B string out a touch.

 

I like how you think about the scale. Higher scale could be problematic, neck heavy, esp. with a Thumb body. But a major component of the W sound is the high mass bridge, and you 'll lose that. You get to have the rest of high quality materials and building process though. For sure I would be thrilled to see such a bass come to life.
