    Did a quick search and came up blank so here is my question. How many of you have owned...by this i mean not current but over the years had multiple wicks. It seems that every Warwick owner I talk to had a rock bass or a vette or something before finding that bass. So yeah. Own up.

    my wicks are listed in my sig.
    don't have any that fall into
    the "previously own" category.
    I have in my possession all wicks
    I've ever owned ;-)

    shes a goodie. You say youll never need another, but wait until you see something else that really tickles your fancy. Now that youve got the bug, its hard to stop.

    Im regretting letting her go. I bought a bass second hand to replace her, and it had a warped neck so i got a refund on it and got the FNA 5. Its a rad bass, but 5 strings arent really my bag. Im gunna string it EADGC and see if i prefer it, if not ill probably sell if before i go overseas.

    I've had the following...

    Corvette Std 5 Swamp Ash
    Corvette Std 5 Bubinga
    FNA 5
    Rockbase Corvette 4
    Thumb NT5

    the thumb is the only one still in my possession but had a real soft spot for the Swamp Ash Vette, my first warwick.

    "5-10" vote here, meaning 5 on hand, plus 2
    more gone bye-bye. But maybe there's really
    5+1 on hand. See, the 2 gone bye-bye were
    my 2 attempts at 'std neck' Wick 5-strings.

    Apparently, the std Wick 5's are simply NFG
    ["Not-For-Golems"]. Anywhoot, my current
    "5 on hand" all have a "W" on the headstock,
    but my version of a Streamer-5 LX has "SS"
    on the headstock. It has an EMG "JazzMan"
    PU config and the most brutal 2-band active
    system you'll ever meet, the "Tone Pump".

    It has the same "NS" body as the Streamers,
    a Gumby headstock, and major DNA overlap,
    thus it fits smoothly into my Wick tribe.

    So depending on who's counting, I've kept 5
    out of 7, or 6 out of 8.

    So, I knew you had 2 ash $$'s and 2 bubinga STD's, but what's #5? Just curious.

    Have owned four, and have two currently. Got rid of the Streamers so I can justify snagging an SSII 5'er when the right one at the right time sync up.

    I've referred to it occasionally on the forum.
    It's a Streamer Standard 4-string with MEC
    2-band active EQ [stack knob].

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In case anyone gets too hopeful ..... No, the
    active EQ does NOT cure the low output that
    is so characteristic of a Streamer Std, unless
    you like to play with the bass EQ cranked up.
    Since 2-band EQ offers bass boost instead of
    just treble cut, there's some output increase.
    But I myselves don't play that way. The max
    increase is to boost both of the EQ knobs. If
    you prefer the resulting mid scoop, you win.
    But the winnings are not huge.
