I regret selling my dirty blonde. it nailed that awesome vintage p sound and the jazz sound. Maybe it was the labella tapewounds? but it was one of the lightest and most comfortable warwicks I ever played. I hope to ge tmy hands on another one soon
It was a matter of looking for that perfect bass for me. The Streamette was my first Warwick. I had a Fortress in my hands the same day but I bought the Streamette. Then down the road I wanted a 5'r and foudn the Fortress One used. When I got that bass, I found "my sound" and wanted to replicate it in a 4 string thus the Fortress masterman. The Streamer Standard I bought on a whim off ebay. I sold it and then regretted it because I liked the full sound of the soapbar p'up and it was a really light bass. I go through stages of what I play and I like having the options. The Streamette is strung with LaBella tapewounds so it has a warmer sound than the Fortresses. I also appreciate the looks of the different basses. Each is unique, has it's own feel and it's own sound.
My collection is always changing to suit m,,y ever changing tastes.
Thumb 5 NT
Fortress One 5 string
Corvette Hot Rod 5 string
Corvette LTD 2004 (or is it 2002? I always forget, its the swirly bubinmga one!)
PNUT I
PNUT II
Newest addition next week is a Dolphin Pro I 5 string
I would loove to add an Infinity 5 string NT to the mix and that would do it for me. I am super partial to FOrtresses and have been trying to get more of them
now I 've got 10 I think but not all at the same level!!!
An 86 Buzzard, an 07 Stryker, a NS design 4 string upright bass, an old Hofner solid body from 65, an Ibanez electro acoustic, a B C Rich Warlock bass, a Ibanez ergodyne,an old Kramer JB and 2 other unmarked basses
Can't wait for another!!
I've got 3, which are in my signature. Looking to pickup a fretless Thumb BO4 and sell the Douglas. I absolutley don't have space or time for more than 3 weapons.
It is in storage right now but will post as soon as I can. If you are trying to ascertain actual numbers it is defo in excess of 120 (going off serial numbers).
3. Since I sold my Fender, my Streamer has been my only 'real' bass, so it's the only one I actually ever play, haha.
-1997 Streamer Pro M, Nirvana
-2004 Ibanez GIO SR, defretted and butchered.
-Mahar shorstscale P Bass copy, zebra finish 8:. Very cheap bass, but my friend gave it to me for free when I sold him my old Ibanez RG7620 guitar after I switched over primarily to bass guitar.
A baker's dozen! Of which 6 are Wicks! Does having 4 Stage basses count for additional brownie points?! (a few are on the way out and am trying hard to cut down to only the Wicks)
