I will be playing the living shit out of my 4 five string fretted basses, and maybe throw in some fretless too.
It will be a combination of writing new material and improving my feel for throwing in 6ths and 7ths so I can spice up my basslines some more.
The key to everything seems to be chord substitutions - those will upgrade my harmonizing abilities.
What I plan to do is write material in which the bass melody extends over just a few bars instead of being repetitive.
