Randy, are you using Photoshop? If so, I would recommend using the stamp tool to clone areas to cover shadows, blemishes, etc. I downloaded your photo and did some tweaks just to show you what I mean. I hope you don't mind.

First, Victor Ian's shirt... using the stamp tool I selected areas around the bass clef and used the natural shadows to mask out the design.
Next, on his face I again used the stamp tool and selected areas of Victors hair and copied it over the forehead and around the ears to cover up the color differences.
Around the neck and ears, I stamped part of the sideburn and carried it down to create a natural jaw curve.
Under the chin, I selected the paint brush with a black opacity of 5% to create the shadow effect while maintaining a "darkened" skin color.
Next, using the lasso tool I selected the area around Victor's head and using Image>Adjustments>Selective Color I picked yellow and reduced it by 20% blending the skin of the face with that of the neck and arms.
Again with the lasso tool, I selected the bass leaving out the arms and adjusted the brightness by -10% then used the add noise filter with 4.9 to give it a "photo" look.

This was a real quick sample job but you can see that if you start with the techniques during the beginning of the project you can create image mergers without a noticeable difference. As far as the other guys arm is concerned.... I didn't touch that one. ;)

wow ... so cool, thank you ... Yes Im using CS4 Extended. I have never used the stamp tool or Image>Adjustments so I ave something new to go play with. The way you said you got rid of the graphic sounds so much easier than what I have been doing, so I cant wait to go give that a try. Also, I can really see a difference in the way the bass looks and the skin tone, the visual was a huge help in understanding what you were saying ... Thank You so much. Ive been going about some things in soooooo the wrong way hahaha

Thanks Again Adrian, I really do appreciate all the help.

No problem Randy, I'm glad I could help.

Next to playing the bass, photography is my next great passion.

*By the way, I really like that fretless 4 stringer mockup.... very cool!

Ummm Greg or Florin ... Help... ?????

What happened to all my mockups? I was just going through the old posts to check out the previous mockups and found that all of mine are gone. They have been replaced with other pics that I have no idea where they cae from. I checked my albums on the forums and my mockups are still there so any idea what happened?

So this post for example, you actually see my MLB basses? Then why am I seeing random pictures? is everyone else seeing the mockups instead of random pictures?l

Flroin, if you want, you can just delete those posts, I was thinking of starting a thread with all my mockups anyway instead of keep using this one.

No need to do this buddy, it is a software problem that needs to be solved anyway :) But I like the idea of having a separate thread with your mockups.

It is kind of easy... I just need to use my model (see attached wireframed view), where everything is modelled and put together, and then put color/texture, turn the model around, choose lighting/scene, and the software calculates the rendering. Far from perfect, but quick & easy, nice to play around with to have an idea of how it could look like within 10 minutes. :p

Hum hum... I usualy don't really ask for some request here but if someone could please help me :) This is for some real serious project...

Don't really know if it's possible to make a mockup of it cause I never saw that exact bass. Here she is :

    -Streamer Stage I - 5 Strings
-White High Polish finish / matching headstock / Gold harware / Black "W"
    -Tiger ebony fretboard
    - here the special thing : Stu Zender inlays but without the "SZ" : only triangles, and at the 12th fret 2 triangles facing each other (am i clear? haha)
    - White LEDs

    Please please please:d

Thanks for trying and listening :p
