It's the same pattern... Colours are a bit different though.

Hey Joe :)

This is one of the numbers of pics I gave to the CS to make my Iroquai and the result is...well you saw it :)

Warwick doesn't have the original pdf or exact color scheme, and like many people told me, colors you see on vids and pics of the original one are not the exact truth.

Correct me if I'm wrong Flo or anyone else @ Warwick, but I think it's the best work CS could do... :)

Yes, David's bass is not 100% identical to Zender's bass, but who cares? It's a stunning bass. I had the opportunity to play it and it's such an amazing bass. The design is slightly different, and to me it even looks better.

First of all you can compare two basses if the pictures are made with the same lights/ camera.
Another thing, the basses should be the same age. The colours change in time. So not even the original bass does not like itself anymore :)

This is the job made by CS with those pictures on the desk :)

OK Thank you ... Is an awesome looking bass! Paint job a little too busy for my tastes, but is extremely impressive looking all the same.

So this is a copy of one of zenders basses, and someone wanted a mockup of a bass that has already been made and that has already been so beautifully copied? I must be pretty thick, 'cause I don't get it.

Also, I think I should make myself clear about something.

Just because I am playing around with making a few mockups and posting them in this thread, does not mean I am opening shop as JVH put it, to commit myself to taking requests. It is alot of work and as I have posted before, I always thought that T6 and JVH were way under-appreciated for their time and effort and alot of people seemed to just take them for granted.

So far I have posted 3 mockups and have requested constructive critizism to help me get better at it. Only two people have even bothered to comment at all on them. Which is cool, because for the most part, I am only doing these for myself at this poing and only shared because I thought people were interested and likeed checking out different interpitations on basses they are already familiar with.

Perhaps it was my fault reviving this thread to post my mockups in instead of starting a new one. This thread had a glorius history of JVH and T6 unselfishly taking requests and making mockups for people, which at this point I am not willing to do. Perhaps if it were someone that was really serious about having a CS bass made and it was something I could do, then yes, I would gladly consider that, but just to spend all this time to grind out requests for people that have no intention to actually order a cs bass is not something I am not prepared or willing to do. Sorry.

Doing these, at least for me, really are very time consuming and take alot of work, especially when parts I haven't already made templates for are required. Sorry if this sounds like a pretty selfish mindset, but that is how I am feeling. Sorry.

Very understandable Randy.
This got way outta hand, especially when T6 was doing it.Although,he DID offer to do them,& only introduced a tip jar after ALOT of encouragement from me.A simple thank you was enough for him,but I knew that wasnt going to last too long, especially when some people were requesting such silly things, then asking him make the most basic of changes, while never intending to actually even get the bass made, let alone being able to afford it.I mean, there were members who were still at school, asking for $10,000+ basses, coz they simply were curious. The original idea of a mockup being made for potential custom shop customers soon got way outta hand.
Regarding the tip jar situation.iirc JVH didnt get enough for a packet of strings & T6 got nothing. Not a single cent.
I was kinda glad the mockup thing died down, coz it was creating at atmosphere where one poor soul was being pretty much exploited.Even if it was voluntary,a little gratitude beyond a simple thank you, wouldnt have gone astray.

Thank You Greg. That was my point exactly.

But just to clear something up, if T6 told you he never recieved a single cent in tips once he finally put up the tip jar, I happen to know for a fact that is BS. I know of at least one member that gave him a $25 tip for the mockup he made for him. I can't comment on any others, but this one I know for a fact.

But you are right, T6 did volunteer himself. I think it just got way out of hand, and he got burned out on em. But I think the coolest thing about T6's mockups (Im sure JVH had similar experience) T6 did a mockup for someone. They liked the mockup and eventually ordered the bass. When they recieved their bass they posted pics of their bass and I swear, if I didn't know what came first, you would think that T6 used that bass for his mockup, instead of it being the other way round. It was spot on, and that is so cool.

I know what you mean about people getting carried away tho and asking for crazy basses they never could afford. I'm guilty of that one. He made me that dbl neck infinity bass with framus 12 string. An instrument that would be well over 10k if it was actually ever built. The cool thing about that mockup, I have an email from HPW saying he thought it was a beautiful instrument and would work up a quote for it whenever I was ready. Needless to say, I didn't waste the mans time, but have to say I was thrilled to hear the actual owner of the company liked my design. Then again, Warwicks look so cool, it would be hard to make an ugly looking one. But then again, if you look at my album of SC designs Im sure there are plenty in there that would prove that last comment wrong ... hahaha

Randy, I prefer that the things to be well said from the beginning, and then maybe you make one mockup a month let's say, then to have you upset and stop making them at all.
I missed the mockups :)

and you are doing a great job!

Do you mean something like this ........

Since we all know Florin is such a famous rocker, who better to sport my new Streamer Stage1 mockup

But then again, this picture is too funny not to give it a try with one of my previous mockups ... The Slaughter House Floor as Tyler dubed it

Okay ... I couldn't help myself....

I sure hope bass brother JLo can forgive me. At least I didn't try and put his head on Axle Roses body.

Thank You ...

The more I look at it, the Bass looks too big in the Pick of JLo. I matched it to length to the Fender he was holding in the pick and the width of the neck was just a tad wider which is what you'd expect from a 5 vs a 4 banger, but I think the bass looks too big. Also I wonder what DM would think of it since I read that he didn't like the look of JLo's Buzzard. He'd probably hate my Vampyre. hahaha

I think the bass on the Florin pic looks at lot closer size wise. I really have to learn how to recolor elements of a picture. In the original, Flo's head was purple because of the light he was standing under and I couldn't really figure out how to get it match the skin color of the body. And was having trouble figuring out how to deal with the heavy shadow under the head on the original body pic. But overall I think it looks better small (avatar size). And now that I look at it, I probably should have changed the shorts to the Romanian Flag. Sorry Flo, didn't mean to insult you by having people think you were an American .. lol

Anyway, this actually turned out to be an interesting exercise and learning experience so I think I will have to play with a few more. Thanks Greg for the Idea. If anyone has any ideas how to do these better, please, Im all ears. Also, would like to have other items that make them look so obviously fake pointed out as well. Thanks. And yes, I know the hair is pretty bad.

Hehe that could be a game all in itself .... figure out whos parts are what hahahaha I already gave away that is Axle Roses body, but who's hair is it?

OK, I'm off to scour the forum and internet for pictures of other forum brothers ... got to find my next victim.

I honestly thought Flo's new avatar was his face, with Steve Harris' arms,David Lee Roth's hair & torso,& Axle Roses legs.

OMG ... Buckethead was in concert in Chattanooga Tennessee with Primus on a Tuesday or maybe a Wednesday ... you know, actually it was probably a Friday, but that doesn't really matter. What does matter, is his mask fell off and for the first time we can see the face of the man under the bucket. Who would of thunk it!

Wow, I was shocked ....
