I know that Warwicks come with some strong frets but on both of the 5-strings I have owned, the first fret has always seemed to undergo a noticable amount of wear (string indentation) underneath the B-string . It doesnt seem to effect the way it plays but I was just wondering if this is a common problem or if there I something in my playing style that is causing it

Ype, I also had this problem and my bass isn't all that old... Almost a year or so. I find that playing style has alot of impact on this. String bending mainly. Also if you try some nickel wounds theyre so much easier on the frets. I would suggest some d'addario nickel wounds :)

As for fixing it. I use some 600 gritt sand paper and some 0000 steel wool... using it all very lightly made everything nice and even and no dents since then. :)
