Frankfurt MusikMesse 2011... Who's in?

Hey guys, this year again will take place the biggest music fair in Europe, in Frankfurt Germany. It will be held from April 6 to 9, 2011.

I'm going again this year, so who's in? I should be there on Friday (last of the 3 pro days) and Saturday (public day)... Only if I figure out how to go in on Friday without being a pro.


So let us know who's coming, we can hang out on Friday night, drink beers and talk bass!

Still - I can't tell for sure. I really really want to go, but I think till February I won't be able to make promises.

This year it seems it's a bit complicated to get accomodation. Last year i booked my room (youth hostel) and my train in late january, but this year i tried to book my room yesterday... And you have to send a special request mail "due to high demands". Same for train, most of them are full. I'm waiting the answer for the hostel, i hope i'll get a room!

As for train i'm waiting my discount vouchers before i can buy tickets.

Damn, it's a bit of a mess this year. I hope i'll be able to make it!

Is there any way you can get us in on the pro days? I can't justify flying to Frankfurt just for one day...

not too hard, in fact. I'm sure you know somebody who has a little business, somewhat music related. Ask friendly if it's okay, or they are able to order tickets for you. As you got your ticket, nobody will ever ask you again. Also if you play/have played in an orchestra or big band, that's sufficient.

In fact I doubt there are more than 50% pros on the pro days. It's said that the people who really are there for business reasons don't even have to buy their tickets, they get free invitations.

I'll get my ticket for the public day, but i'd really like to be there on the last pro day (friday)...


Flo, dont want to sound like i'm begging, but do you think you could manage to get a sort of "pass" from Warwick to the forum members who are sure they'll come to Frankfurt, at least for the pro days? Like an invitation or something...

EDIT: BTW, train tickets and hostel booked. I'll arrive in Frankfurt on Thursday, April 7th at 5pm. And I'll leave on Sunday, April 10th at 5pm. So I'm free on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. If some of you want to hang out and have a few beers....
