Anyone experience any of these amps... can you give your thoughts and advice?

I love the Trace Elliot sound... but I can get a Warwick 5.1 xtreme for $500
right now.

I also found an Ashdown MK500 head for $650. I was told these sound
just like Trace and that Mark King is a BIG Trace player and helped Ashdown
create this amp, hence the initials MK in the model name, MK500.

What do you all think?

If you're looking for the TE sound, the Ashdown's your best bet. Warwick sounds fundamentally different :)

Ashdown was started by some old employees of Trace Eliott.

I've just become a Trace Elliot dealer, and I received my first AH500-7 head this week. I'm pretty impressed, I like it and the 410 cab (1048H) much better than the TE combos I've played (715 & 715X). The head actually has enough power to move some air, so it's not all clickety-clackety like the combos (they're a touch too bright for my taste).

I really enjoy the sound of Warwick basses through Trace Elliot, Genz-Benz and Warwick amps. EBS doesn't seem to work, for whatever reason. If anyone here has had some success using EBS, please tell me the secret! I can't seem to dial in the EQ to get a decent tone.
