Bought this as part of my compulsive need to buy basses.
It is an Italian made EKO B55 Bass, Maple neck with Mahogany stripe, Rosewood fingerboard and Pine body.
I thought it could have been ash with the grain, but it's pine.
THe body was so full of dents and marks I decided to sand it. Tried chemical scouring with no great luck, so 4 hours of sanding finally got the varnish removed. I repainted it in white, and gave it a smooth Medium relic look.
Changed the Pickup that was unknown for a DiMarzio, rewired it with a Push/Pull volume knob to have series/parallel, CTS tone knob with Orange Drop Cap (Low Value Cap in order to avoid a too muffled sound).
The neck is a confortable Precision sized neck, 44m nut, Vintage C Shape.
I called it personnality disorder because it's kind of a J-Bass shape, with a PrecisionPickup in the MusicMan sweet Spot. It sounds pretty great for funky things and Rock.
Asking price is 250€, shipping included, offers welcome.
