Hi guys.... just thought i would join in on this one.

yep its my old Daphne blue thumb all right.

the pics were taken since i sold it, as it didnt have the damage when i owned it.

Its very interesting to see it again.

Heres a little more info on it

I heard the bass was built for a music expo in london, i believe cass lewis's pink one was made for the same show.

the pickups and eq are status, running 18v.

the switch controls a mid boost/cut in the 3 band circuit.

the led in the body lights blue when a lead is plugged in.

the side leds on the neck were not working when i owned it, but was told by martin sims that they could be fixed.

it had a neck repair at the headstock end before i owned it.

It played like a dream when i owned it, only sold it as i needed to fund a SSII 5er.

Here are some more pics of it:

    Lovely!

I can remember Cass Lewis from Terence Trent Darby years ago in a vid and I'm shure he had a fab Pink Warwick Thumb.

Just a useless piece of info!

That very same pink Thumb (Cass's actual bass) sold on eBay just a few months ago and didn't even make £600 IIRC.

Nice to clear up the confusion re. the 5er.

Small world that 3 of us (4 if you inc Bassoctopuss); Wolfman, Slipperman & me, live within a handful of miles of each other. :D

I hate those jerks that pull that crap. They should do a buy it now instead of stringing us along. I was high bidder both times and was nowhere near my limit yet. I would think he would come to me first if he wanted to sell outright.

What is with this guy? i messaged him about the bass the other day about the bass and now he pulls it..... not very nice thing to do.

Mangas, the repair was just a little bit of resin filler on the back of the neck.... probably just from a little ding... nothing to worry about.

He obviously had a lot of emails from members of this forum re. that bass (hence his listing change as to what the bass was) that it gave him an inflated idea that his bass was worth a lot of money. It'll be back up again with a nice high reserve or BIN. The pitfalls of web forums.

Yeah its a shame, especialy when i sold it for under £1000 a few years ago and that was without any of the damage to the body.... its sad to see how people treat there instruments.
