I decieded to start a thread to put all my mockups in, both my past and future ones, instead of continuing to use the request thread. You should be able to see the difference, improvement hopefully, from my earlier ones to my more recent. They are not necessarily in the order I first posted them, but I did try to go older to newer for the most part.

As always, I am very open to any comments, suggestions, tips that might make them better.

I don't want to set myself up to start mass producing mockups for people, but .... If you are seriously considering buying a CS bass and want to see, generally, what it will look like, go ahead and let me know what you want, and if it's something I can do, I will try and do it for you. But remember, Im just learning, so it might not be perfect. And, there's no promises, I might not be able to do it, but if I can I will try.

Not my first mockups, but the only ones like these that I know of. One day someone suggested that maybe Warwick should offer CS amps, so you can get an amp in the same wood to match your bass. This was my take on that Idea.

OK, appear to be having technical difficulties, guess I will have to wait until its hammered out. I even tried deleting and re uploading these pics... no go, but I can see them in my album. Makes no sense

ALB, can you see them? All I am getting is little boxes

Those amps are stunning - nice work Randy!

Btw, I always thought it'd be nice to have all the CS mockups in one album - something like the official CS gallery. Just the thought of being able to see all the different Thumb mockups in one place, say, or all the different $$s - that'd just be fantastic. It might also stop someone from asking for a mockup that's already been done.
Of course, a gallery like this might make it harder to see who's actually done all the hard work. But I guess if we had one page for each mockup, then there could be a little "signature" at the bottom of each page, maybe with a link to that person's tip-jar.

So I suppose I'm envisaging a thread here in the CS part of the forum, where people can post requests, and then, if kind and talented people like Randy want to, they can put together a mockup, and post it in the gallery. By separating the requests from the mockups, I wonder if we might also stop people from assuming it's a free service, and that people might start seeing the work that goes into these things. I don't know, these are just some random thoughts of mine!

Next are my entries for the single cut bass design contest. I didn't make it very far. As you can see there are a couple cool designs, but I got really weird about it with some of them and some were purely for the comedic aspect from the start. I do really like the Dolphin body for it, I think it really lends itself to a singlecut design. Also, you will see that with some I did 4, 5 & 6 string models, which is the way I strated doing them but as the end of the competition neared I switched to the single bass per design approach.

Oh dear God, will it ever end......

Ok, that was the last one.

But somewhere along the way, someone mentioned a double-neck single cut bass, so I gave a stab at it with this...

I did do a few more single cut mockups, but they weren't my designs so I don't feel its right for me to post them. I just did them for fun and sent them to the people that actually designed them.

ALB - Thank you sir, glad there was something in all that you liked. I have no idea what it is about that rail idea, starting at #4, but it intriqued me, I just couldn't help exploring it with all my basic shapes. It really is ugly as all get out and really a very stupid idea, but something about it gets to me. Possibly electic shock therapy could cure me of it ... hahahaha.

Thanks for posting those Tyler. Actually, I feel pretty honored that you still have them. I have to say, I really do like your designs, especially that last one; like the way the top horn sweeps back, and the bottom horn is killer. And the way the top of the butt of the bass sweeps foreward similar to a dolphin, I really think that feature lends itself nicely to a single cut design.
