Has anyone changed the Battery Connector on a Thumb Bass ?
I see that the Black & Red wires have a small white connector that appears to plug into the
PC board on the tone control. Is the connector removeable ?

Yes it is removable with the white plug. That’s how you switch between the rechargeable and a standard 9v. Make sure you take note of the wires and plug it in the correct way, it can have problems with draining if it’s reversed.

It should look like this, showing the rechargeable connected and the 9v connector unplugged.

Thanks Narcdor for the input . I have a 2001 Thumb Bass BO which has the same preamp & p/u's as the Corvette & the same wiring diagram.
My battery connector has a white connector that connects to a PC board on the tone control that appears to be removeable like the input
jack connection. Standard 9v battery, not a lithium. Just want to know if that connector is removeable & how it is removed.

Ah right, the pic I gave you was the modern rechargeable battery from wiring in a 2017 bass, so that’s not very helpful for you.

Perhaps you can post a picture of your connector?

having trouble posting a picture of the battery connector on my 2001 Thumb Bolt on. It looks like the white connector can be removed like the connector for the Input jack.
Just need to know how to remove it from the PC board on the tone control. Has any one ever replaced the battery connector ?

You can use tinypic.com and after your upload is finished, copy the [IMG[...[/IMG[ link code in your forum reply. I can't be of help as I am not familiar with the new electronics, and it's even worse without a picture. :)

No sweat. The connector seems to be removable, but be careful. It would be best if you removed the pot from its position so that you have a better view.

    Thanks Again, Jester.
I was thinking the same thing you suggested about removing the pot. It does appear that the connector is removable.
