I like this idea! Specially because we have people from all over the world here, and a little foreign touch in cooking is always really cool!

Olli's Omelette

You will need
4 eggs
2 sausages (meaty ones)
1 onion
1 garlic clove
Bluecheese
Feta
Couple of sun-dried tomatoes
Chili (powder or actual peppers)
Rucola
Oil of your preference
Milk
Basicly anything you've got in your fridge

Turn your stove to the max and put a frying pan on the stove and add oil. Chop all the ingredients into small pieces and throw them in the pan (except rucola). Search your fridge further for more suitable ingredients, almost anything goes. Fry them a little and remember to stir.

Break 4 eggs in a cup and add a a few drops of milk. Stir the cup innards so that the egg parts mix well together. Pour the eggs on the pan. Add salt (and possible chili powder). Stir the cookings a little. Don't fry the now-becoming omelette too long, minute or two is enough. Leave the omelette a little raw and serve on a plate.

Fold the omelette and put the rucola on top of it so it might fool someone for being real food.

Enjoy with cold milk.

** Ingredients:
For 6 persons
around 35 min for preps and 3h for cooking
Quite easy to make
1,5Kg of beef meat (preferably shank, shoulder palette)
5/6 big onions
25g of butter
3 tablespoons of flour,
3 of vinegar
3 of brown sugar
1 liter of beer (blonde or amber)
2 bay leaves
a few branches of thyme
2 cloves
5 slices of gingerbread
Salt and Pepper
Préparation :

  • Slice the meat in rough cubes. Peel the onions and cut them in slices Épluchez les oignons et coupez-les en rondelles.

  • In a casserole dish, cook the meat until golden in the butter in melted butter.

  • Take out the meat, and put the onions, also until golden in the same melted butter.

  • Pour the brown sugar, toss well et let it cook for 5 min keeping tossing, then add the vinegar.
  • Then put the meat back in the dish and season.
  • Add the beer and eventually add water to completely cover the meat.(Yes, it will fross and bubble). Add the thyme, bay leaves, and clovers and let it cook on a medium heat for 15 min with the dish opened.

  • Spread the gingerbread slices with mustard (preferably strong mustard) and add them in the dish.

  • Cover the dish, and let it slow cook for 3h .
  • After 3h, the sauce must be creamy... If it's seems a little too liquid for you, uncover the dish, and let it cook on a strong heat, keeping a eye on it so that it's not burnt.

  • Serve it with French Fries,, or mashed potatoes.

You're Welcome!

Will try to cook your recipe sometime soon :) I will post a Satay recipe with photos when I prepare a lot of it for the BBQ of my Church Wedding :) (I am already married, but this one is the Church blessing). Look forward to the stuff :)

Chili pasta Sauce

Needed:
Vegetable Stock
Canned, diced tomatoes (1 can is enough for about 4 people)
Olive Oil
Oregano
Marjory
Parsley (for colour)
Thyme
Cayenne pepper
Pepper
Chilli Flakes (or chilli)
Salt

This can take quite the amount of cheese, roughly 250g

Spices are approximate, adjust to taste

1. Boil a about half a cup to a cup of water, which is used to dissolve about a tbs of vegetable Stock
2. Add the chopped tomatoes including the juice, as well as a dash (about 1-2 tbsp) of olive oil
3. Stir and boil until most water is almost entirely gone (to taste really)
4. Add 1 tbsp Oregano, tsp Marjory, tsp Parsley, tsp Thyme
5. All spicy stuff: Al little pepper, quite a bit more chilli flakes, add Cayenne pepper to hammer the point home
6. Add salt or a tad vegetable stock power to round it off

TIP> Mix it with grated cheddar into the noodles, the cheese will fall apart into the sauce and soften the spice a bit while adding flavour
TIP 2> layer noodles and sauce n cheese, then mix, makes for an even blend and not too much work :)
