Hello! How do I recognize a Fake Warwick? I have many doubts about this bass and I'm not sure if it is an authentic Warwick or if it is a specific model. The seller told me that it is the Corvette model, only that this one is 5 strings. But I have been searching and researching and I cannot find any model with the same characteristics. Please help me to know if this is fake.

If the bass was made after the year 2000, you can check the serial number here: en/Warwick--Support--Serial-Number.html

Otherwise, can I ask why you think it is a fake ?

It's authentic @Rafiix_LoL

As mentioned, RockBass $$. Probably made in China.

My only advice would be if you have the means to save up just a tiny bit more, you'd be able to get a used German made Vette. It would be worth it for the resale value alone. Slightly better components, slightly better wood quality, etc. If this RB $$ is a smoking deal that you can't resist, then go for it, it's real. Only thing I can see that's been modded, black control knobs have been put on... Truss rod cover missing, or non-original. Best of luck!

I don't know much about Warwick basses, but I notice some small defects, it doesn't mean that it's fake, but I wanted to check the forum, especially because of the black control knobs, since I searched and couldn't find a model exactly like this one, it only has 3 black ones. In addition, the truss rod cover is missing. I think it is authentic, but I wanted to be sure of its model or if it is actually fake.

That's definitely the Rockbass version, it also has a few aftermarket customizations... For example it shouldn't have those two switches (the German version does, but they're not placed like that) also, as you said, the Rockbass version comes with chrome knobs (3 on rockbasses, 4 on German ones)
Anyways, the bass seems customized but original, if you like it go for it 😎 Just be sure to be aware that this is not a German Warwick, so be careful not to overpay it :)
