    Hey y'all.
In my quest of weird and wonderful basses, I fell in love with the Stradi Symphony basses.

I discussed a bit wioth Marek, the luthier behind this, and I think - despite all the respect I have for Warwick - I'll put my money for a CS here instead of WW.
The sheer beauty of the model is - to me - very appealing, Marek seems to know his trade, and money wise, since the cost of a CS bass @ warwick is so astronomical, I can have a custom made Stradi for a third of the price.
    And still have something unique.

I don't know this chap. Looks intriguing. If you are kicking around custom ideas and have not yet tried one of Marek's creations and decided that that's what you want, you could try Maurizio at MÜB (mauriziouberbasses), he had some interesting insights on the jazz model I bought from him (shown here during construction) and would be similar in terms of budget I suspect.

I guess a long-term budget consideration is resale value - higher initial outlay for a WW CS but value likely to hold up better than a relatively unknown luthier

Nope, not heard of them before.

Have you seen Adamovic basses? The guy's workshop is about 30km from where I live. I should really visit them some day!

    Linkage: Adamovic basses

I know of Maurizio, wonderful instruments. A feature found on one of Maurizio's bass will be in mine.
For the value... well... A CS Warwick today is around 10 to 12k€... And won't resell for more than 3000. (there are examples on this very forum). So if I can resell my Stradi for 1500 when I paid 5500 (and probably less)
Adamovic's, too, are great, the Eclipse is very nice, but it's too organic for me, like the Ritters.

There's something I just love with the Violin Shape, especially for a Hard Rock player like me.

Any details to share? Don’t know if I could commit to a custom build, too much choice!

    Look forward to hearing more

Knowing Henry, it will probably be a Dolphin in disguise.

Some sexy things like carbon tubes in the neck, titanium frets..
But the most important was the custom sized neck : 47,6mm nut, 20mm string spacing...

Nothing Dolphiny. I have enough Dolphins, so no need to get one more, this one is completely something else, except for a « partially wengé » neck.

I thought so. The average weight for a 5er is below 4kg...

Now that is a surprise and a bonus, they certainly look heavier.

Woah, it's the first time I see piezo demo-ed this way. Gives an amazing edge when combined with the magnetic pickup.
